Types of glass

Grade A safety glass that is 4-5 x stronger than normal glass – used in areas as specified by NZ Safety Standards.

» Clear
Normal everyday glass – called Annealed.

» Laminated – 2 pieces of glass bonded to-gather by a plastic or resin interlayer
Absorbs 99% uv radiant thereby helps protect your furnishings against fading
Noise control – the layer in the middle of the two pieces of glass dampens sound – great for traffic , aircraft , trains etc
Increase security – its more difficult to penetrate – like a modern car windscreen.

» Tinted
Reduces solar heat gain , UV and glare inside your house Gives increased privacy.

» Low E (Low emissivity)
Low uv, fading lessened, heat loss = energy saver.

» Units filled with Argon Gas
Is a better insulator than air Higher Energy efficiency Better room climate
